As series extend in the playoffs the trend has been good teams have tightened up their defense. Memphis is known for their defense and many people would like to write them off based on their opponents thus far in the playoffs. The Clippers were banged up and the Thunder were without Russell Westbrook. The truth of the matter is that the Grizzlies keep things simple.
Defensively they communicate and play stellar half court defense. Some games things just do not go well. The Spurs broke a three point record in game one, and as a result the final was a lopsided affair.
This should be a great chance for the Grizzlies to bounce back and limit the Spurs offense. Memphis is not going to ever standout offensively, so thus I like the under of 181.5 as today’s free play.

Watching the Knicks as they struggled to defeat the under manned and aged Celtics, you could see the main reason for offensive inefficiency. Their strategy of success all season long has fallen apart. To live with the three ball and Carmelo Anthony in one on one takes.
As they say in football, defenses get better in the postseason, and that is exactly what has happened to the Knicks vs the Celtics and Pacers. Any adjustment they have tried just has not worked, because JR Smith is in a slump and no one else can step up.
Today’s contest should produce yet another under of 180. Repeatedly the series has seen extremely low scores well into the second quarter. New York’s back is against the wall and they can’t get it going offensively. They’ll try to rely on their defense and home crowd to carry them to victory

It’s swing day in major league baseball which means you can catch more than just your average horse track bettor at your local book. Get that MLB lines sheet and grab wins mid-day and roll it over to tonight’s NBA playoff games.
Today’s free play comes in the total between the Braves and Diamondbacks. Tim Hudson heads to the mound against Ian Kennedy. Hudson started his first three games of the season with solid starts. Lately though he has been inconsistent, including two games of six earned runs allowed. One was on their last road trip against San Francisco.
Ian Kennedy is one of those pitchers that is crafty and gets out of jams inning after inning.
Look for both clubs to not extend either pitcher for a lot of innings this one, which means the bullpens will be called early. Grab the over in this one as innings seven thru nine will produce late runs over the total.

Fouls, fouls, technicals, and extended halts of play have kept the rhythm off and on over the course of the Bulls and Heat series. In game two the Bulls found themselves down almost double the points of Miami in a true blowout.
Game three the Bulls gave it all they had only to see the Heat pull away in the fourth quarter without backing down. The Heat know they over match the Bulls and are not intimidated with the Bulls tactics
Expect game four to shift back to the way game two went. It’ll be a tough defensive game but lopsided in the point differential and total. The total will sail below 185.

The unders have been hitting as of late in the NBA playoffs. Today’s matchup would lead you into believing another under but lets focus on the matchup.
Golden State is not going to change who they are. Their prime shooters both struggled to shoot 50 percent in their game three loss. That has not been the norm though, as one or the other has been sizzling in game action. Harrison Barnes has shown to be a key third offensive threat for them.
San Antonio on the other hand, finally saw their offense look more fluid and the results were Spur-like. That will carry over today. With the Warriors in a must-win situation, they’ll feed off their home crowd in an entertaining game four.
Watch this total break the barrier of 197, and net yourself a free winner.

Today features a game two playoff western conference matchup between Memphis and Oklahoma City. Game one was a little deceiving and we should see more of each teams strengths today. Game one had an ill-advised start time with both teams on little rest. The first half was awful offensively, and then the game took an unusual frenetic pace.
Memphis will tone that down and do what they do best defensively. Houston showed in a couple of games that you can negate the rest of their team offensively besides for Durant. Kevin Martin hasn’t shown enough consistency to be dependable.
The Grizzlies are one of the better teams at making adjustments and will do so throughout the series. They have a good shot at making the series at one game apiece tonight. But the better play is the under on the total of 186.
